Jon Hoey's Team Delayed!

Jon and Gayle Hoey's team made it safely to Puerto Lempira. They arrived back in the states on 7/13/09. Thank you for all of your prayers.
Civil Unrest in Honduras has delayed Jon Hoey's Team. The following post is an email sent by Gale Hoey, Jon's wife. Please keep this mission trip in your prayers.
"Hi! This has been one of the most interesting days of my life. You would not believe how many times I had to call the hotel in SPS and change reservations. They were getting a little frustrated, but then I told them how much we all cared about Honduras and how the team was trying so hard to get there to be with the orphans. Wow, their hearts softened and they even called me "Ms. Gale!" like people do here in the south, a respectful way to address someone. (They did recognize my voice after a few calls.) Finally, I had to cancell reservations for tonight one more time. American Airlines cancelled all evening flights into Honduras because of the curfew. So the team is in Miami tonight.
I have heard some interesting reports out of Honduras. I can tell things are still unsettled in Teguc., but in other parts of Honduras, things seem ok. Missionaries there keep saying that most of what we are seeing and hearing is media hype and that they are fine. My personal friend in Danli says the same thing. I think FOX had things in the right perspective, at least what I saw this am.
I just will feel really good when the team finally gets to PL. Sometimes a remote area might be the best place to be. Friends all over the world are praying for our team and our "family" in Honduras. It is a blessing to be in touch like that."
