Vision
We see a time in the future where every Miskito Indian child of the Mosquito Coast of Honduras is provided the basic physical necessities of shelter, food, health, education and love and the spiritual necessities of grace, forgiveness and a close personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement
MamaTara Miskito Orphanage, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) interdenominational, Christian agency providing for the physical and spiritual needs of Miskito Indian children of the Mosquito Coast of Honduras through activities that focus on:
Building and opening a new MamaTara Orphanage Complex and helping them to become self-sufficient in the upcoming years.
Continue to establish friendships with the orphans, their families and other Miskito Indians to share the Gospel message and help them grow spiritually
Offering vocational education programs to the orphans to help them prepare for a self-sufficient future
Coordinating medical missions in the area, and
Planning and implementing growth for the MamaTara Orphanage Complex over the next 5-10 years, including a school, chapel, clinic, farm, etc…
