Two Levels of Sponsorship

Guardian Sponsorship Program

This program will help defray the monthly cost that is required to provide food, clothing, medical treatment, school supplies to the children, and the staff to help care for the orphans at Mama Tara Orphanage. For $1 a day ($30/month), you will help provide these basic life necessities to the orphans and you will also begin to build a personal relationship, via photos, letters and cards, with one or more of our orphans. The money that you donate each month will go into a financial pool for all of the orphans and will be spent on the items previously mentioned. Also, 5% of the donated amount will be held in a Scholarship Fund that will be awarded to the children when they are ready to move on to the next level of education, including vocational training, upon exiting the orphanage.

This level of sponsorship is very interactive and is one that we hope would be beneficial to both parties. Our desire is that a long lasting bond would develop over time. This relationship could help be a source of security for the child just in knowing that there is some person or family that cares about him/her and is praying for their well-being.

Friendship Sponsorship Program(You choose the amount to pay per month)

This is a new level of sponsorship designed for those who want to have a very casual ongoing relationship with one of our orphans.. The amount donated is up to the individual and there are no strict requirements in this type of relationship. Your involvement would be as deep or as casual as you prefer. The child you choose to sponsor would only know you as a “friend” and would realize that it is completely different from the Guardian Sponsorship Program, where the child knows the sponsor as a Madrina/Padrino, which takes on more of a god-parent (guardian) role. Breakdown of Sponsorship Levels

Our main goal for the children, besides taking care of their physical needs, are for their spiritual and emotional needs as well. We encourage that, no matter which level of sponsorship you get involved with, that you would be willing to pray diligently for your child. These kids have many needs and our prays can bring them provision, health, and protection. Our prayer is that each one of these children come to know Jesus as their personal savior and that through the instruction of the missionaries that continue to go down and minister to them, that they will have a great chance to overcome all the obstacles that they encounter daily. Your partnership, whether on a casual or deeper level, will help make a difference in whether these children live up to their God given potential and move into their destinies. It’s such a privilege to be a part of a child’s life through this ministry.
