Give!

Want to help? The two most important things you can possibly do for the children at Mama Tara's is to pray for them, and share our mission to help them with others.

Feel free to donate if you can, we will certainly appreciate it. But prayer and a share is invaluable.

Watch this video! A short introduction to Mama Tara

Our Mission.

The Mama Tara Family.

Our main focus is to provide a loving Christ-centered home and family for orphaned and at-risk children on the Miskito Coast.

Despite our name, we are not an orphanage in the traditional sense. Rather, we strive to provide a family atmosphere focusing on the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of each individual child.

Mama Tara Family Assist Program.

Keeping Families Together.

This program offers support for at-risk families by giving children (ages birth through sixth grade) two meals a day, uniforms, school supplies, tutoring, and homework help.

We work with parents and children to create and accomplish goals that support the family structure and promote Christian values.

Mercy & Grace

Child Development Center.

Estabilished in 2013, Mercy & Grace delivers preschool and kindergarden classes. Through hands-on and learn through play activities we foster age appropriate development, creativity, and a love for Jesus.

We serve children from our home, the family assist program, other ministries, and at-risk children in the neighborhood who would otherwise not have access to early education.
